Our meals are thoughtfully prepared and presented by Edward Bassam our Swiss trained Chef/Proprietor, using the best ingredients in order to offer something for every taste and appetite.

Edward’s policy is to supply meals of the highest quality and he takes great pride in the enviable reputation our kitchen has, both locally and with Hotel guests.

We can accommodate most dietary requirements if a little notice is given.

Our breakfasts are cooked to order and carefully presented to give the best possible start to the day.

In the evening we have an a la carte menu with Lakeland Fillet Steak and Lamb a speciality.

Relax in the cosy atmosphere of our comfortable bar lounge with pre-dinner drinks.  As well as bottled and draught beer – including the local Jennings's Cumberland Cream and Bitter Smooth – we have a wide selection of spirits and over twenty single malt whiskies.

Our wine list has been carefully chosen to provide an ideal complement to our well balanced menu without providing a bewildering array of choice.
