Welcome to The Manor House Hotel and Restaurant!

This 19th Century Georgian style Grade II listed building is perfectly situated at the western end of Cockermouth’s tree lined Main Street.

The Hotel was originally built as a home in 1847 – The Grecian Villa – by hat manufacturer Thomas Wilson.  Since then it has been used as Council Offices, the Court House, the headquarters of the Cumbria Fire Service and the Registry Office.

The family run Hotel has 13 en-suite bedrooms, each room is fitted with hospitality tray, direct dial telephone, radio, colour television, trouser press, hairdryer and internet connection.

Wi-fi broadband is available free of charge in the public areas of the Hotel.

There is ample car parking to the front of the building.

Our restaurant has an excellent reputation locally, with food prepared by the Swiss trained Chef/Proprietor.
